Should I Take a Daily Multivitamin?

KEY OF HEALTHY & BALANCED LIFE

We Should Know the Impact of Multivitamins deficiencies.

Impack of Deficiences In Pakistan

NATIONAL NUTRITIONAL SURVEY 2018 confirms:

Micronutrient Deficiencies are widespread in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, Malnutrition is common among mothers, children, and teenagers. Pakistan now has a significant burden of overweight and obesity in addition to high rates of stunting, wasting, and nutritional deficiency—a triple burden of malnutrition.

Under half (46.4%) of women of reproductive age (ages 15–49) had normal BMI; 14.5% were underweight, 24.2% were overweight, and 13.9% were obese. Overweight (boys: 17.8%; girls: 16.8%), obesity (7.6% and 5.5%), and under half (46.4%) had normal BMI.

WHY OUR HEALTH IMPACT

STUNTING, WASTING AND MICRONUTRIENTS DEFICIENCIES

This is brought on by a number of factors, including dietary deficiencies, poor mother and child health, a high morbidity rate, and low soil micronutrient content. In particular, zinc and iodine have a significant impact on children's and women's growth and mental development.

In addition to potentially explaining the high burden of morbidity and mortality among women and children (boys and girls) in Pakistan, the high rates of malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies among women of reproductive age also suggest a vicious cycle of malnutrition. This cycle may also increase the likelihood of developing noncommunicable diseases in the future. as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart issues.

WHAT IS NUTRIENT DEFICIENCY

Nutritional inadequacy" involves an usage of nutrients that is lower than the recommended requirement, whereas "nutritional deficiency" consists of severely reduced levels of one or more nutrients, making the body unable to normally perform its functions and ultimately leading to an increased risk of several diseases like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease

WHAT IS MALNUTRITION:

Malnutrition could be triggered by environmental factors, like food scarcity, as well as disease conditions, like anorexia nervosa, fasting, swallowing inability, persistent vomiting, impaired digestion, intestinal malabsorption, or other chronic diseases.

IMPORTANT NUTRITIONAL BIOMARKERS – Some major important biomarker like serum or plasma levels of nutrients such as FOLATE, VITAMIN C, B VITAMINS, VITAMIN D, SELENIUM, COPPER, ZINC - may used for the assessment of nutrient consumption and dietary pattern.

TYPE OF DEFICIENCIEES

Macronutrients Deficiencies could lead many diseases such as kwashiorkor, marasmus, ketosis, growth retardation, wound healing, and increased infection susceptibility.

Micronutrient Deficiencies:

This iron, folate, zinc, iodine, and vitamin A deficiencies lead to intellectual impairment, poor growth, perinatal complications, degenerative diseases associated with aging and higher morbidity and mortality.

IMPORTANCE OF MULTIVATMINS AND IMPACT ON HEALTH:

There is no conflict that MULTIVITAMINS ARE IMPORTANT when nutritional supplies are not met through diet alone. The researches endorsed that vitamins are needed when the diet is not endurable to prevent deficiency, as some research has shown some greater benefit or even beneficial effects when taking supplemental vitamins and minerals in daily intake.

SOLUTION:

Preventing macro- and micronutrient deficiency is crucial and this could be achieved through supplementation such as VEDOXIN tablet for 12 year old onwards people, VEDOXIN Syrup for Kids, FOLIC ACID for All Women and Men, CALRICH for daily weaknesses, MILTO for coverage of multivitamins deficiencies.
